Founded in 2015, Thousand set out with a goal to save lives by making people wear helmets. The idea of the company came shortly after the founder, Gloria Hwang, lost a friend to a fatal biking accident. As someone who never previously wore a helmet herself, Gloria Hwang soon set out to create helmets that later became known for their minimalist designs with a lightweight yet sturdy framework.
