Lectric Announces First E-Cargo Bike

February 20, 2023

Lectric announces the release of one of its most consequential projects to date: the XPedition electric cargo bike.

The Lectric team is touting the XPedition as the “ultimate transportation solution,” capable of covering miles of pre-school drop offs, pizza deliveries, and everything in between. So far, we’ve seen relentless innovation from Lectric since their founding in 2018, and this seems to be another step in that direction for the Phoenix-based startup. Just within the past year, Lectric launched its new XP 3.0 model , a foldable e-bike with dual-passenger capacity, and the XP Trike, a stable, load-bearing three-wheeler.

Continuing their hot streak, Letric’s new XPedition solves both passenger and cargo needs, while providing an incredible range of up to 150 miles with its dual battery capacity. The XPedition also features the brand new PWR (Pedal Assist Wattage Regulation) program, which promises riders finer control over pedal propulsion. (The bike, which also offers a twist throttle for added boost, can be classified as a Class 1, Class 2, or Class 3). Thus, riders are offered increased control over their battery usage and their own physical output.

Maybe the most impressive aspect of the Lectric XPedition is the price; starting at just $1,399 for the single-battery setup (or $1,699 for dual battery), this will be one of the most affordable electric cargo bikes available, period. This is not surprising, however, as affordability has been the name of the game for Lectric ever since the launch of the XP 2.0. Don’t be fooled by the small price tag though - Lectric didn’t cut any corners in building the XPedition. We’ll let the specs speak for themselves.

2 Reasons Not to Buy the Lectric XPedition

  • If you're looking for something super compact, the XPedition may not fold down enough to fit your needs
