Austin, Texas-based e-bike maker MOD Bikes announced its new MOD Black full-suspension e-bike during SXSW. This Class 3 adventure ride stands out from its competitors with a unique ecosystem of Snap-On rack accessories and a MOD Connect system that integrates various wirelessly connected products, such as Lumos smart helmets, into the bike.

The new Bike Index iOS app makes it easier to register your e-bike as well as for law enforcement to find and recover it when stolen. The Bike Index has 1.2 million bikes in its registry and has helped to recover over 14,000 bikes in the past 11 years.

LiveWire’s new patents indicate a move to regenerative brakes to replace hydraulic brakes on its e-motorcycles. LiveWire claims that the new regenerative brake design reduces the motorcycle's cost and weight as well as creates energy for the electric motor.

The Icoma Tatamel Bike is being billed as a small-batch, ‘craft’ e-moped bike. Similar in design to the iconic Honda Motocompo, this compact, folding e-moped is now available to pre-order for $3,200 with US deliveries promised in October.
