Ryvid Brings New Configurations, Accessories, and Colorways to the Anthem

California-based Ryvid, a rising star in the e-motorcycle scene, launched a new version of their website that includes a collection of accessories for their flagship model, the Anthem. There are also two new eye-catching colors, available on new orders or as separate panels for installation on existing bikes.

The electric motorcycle scene in the United States is heating up, and Ryvid has been steadily gaining attention after holding exhibits at both CES and AIMExpo in early 2024. Their flagship (and only) model is the Anthem, with positive stories slowly rolling in as more and more are delivered to early buyers. Many owners have requested accessories, which is no surprise; yes, many third-party accessories will work with the Anthem, but it's always nice to get something guaranteed to fit right from the manufacturer.

Current (and future) Anthem owners can rejoice, because Ryvid's official accessories are now available! You can browse the entire collection in their online shop, which includes everything from charging cables to alternate color panels, as well as some swag if you're wanting to wear your love for Ryvid on your sleeve.

Ryvid is prioritizing useful accessories requested most by current owners

One of the most requested accessories is a rear rack; the Anthem has a fairly unique frame construction, making it more challenging to get a rear rack from a third-party provider. Ryvid's official rack mounts securely on the Anthem frame, with a base plate designed to interface with industry standard mounting brackets. If you have a luggage case already, chances are that it will fit for mounting on the Anthem! Of course, you can carry smaller cargo like a backpack by just strapping it on top of the rear rack.

Phone mounts are another popular request; while it's easy enough to get these just about anywhere, I do quite like the rugged minimalist look of Ryvid's phone holder. It only grips on the side, which should be sufficient for the type of riding the Anthem is designed for, and makes it a simple affair to insert or remove your phone.

There are also some new energy-related accessories that I'm excited about, which highlight some of what makes the Anthem special. A J-Plug adapter is available for the battery, which allows you to use Level 2 charging stations for incredibly quick charging times. These stations aren't available everywhere in the US which is why the Anthem relies on standard 120V outlets by default, but this Level 2 will no doubt be very popular for riders who do live near L2 stations. For those looking to really expand their riding by swapping batteries, you can buy an entire second one for just shy of $4,000.

The stock Anthem is pretty darn peppy, but now you can make it even faster! A featured accessory is the Power Controller Upgrade, which uses some kind of electrical sorcery to boost acceleration by 30% with no discernible loss in range! I don't even have my Anthem yet, but I've already got my eyes on this upgrade to make in the near future. It's made by ASI and includes a wiring harness, and looks to be a pretty straightforward upgrade that you can do yourself. It costs $995 if bought as an upgrade, but new Anthem purchasers can have it pre-installed for a discounted price of $800.

Swappable color panels, with two new colorways

The Anthem's various color panels are actually quite easy to swap out, and Ryvid sells all of them --both individually and as complete sets-- on their website. You can change up the colors on just one or two for a custom dual color appearance, or get a second complete set if you just want to change things up (or perhaps match a different riding outfit). There are also two new color options available: Photon Blue, and Plasma Yellow. I ordered my Anthem with the original Atomic Gold panels, but now I'm really eyeing those Plasma Yellows... might have to put them on my upgrade list!

Expanded configuration options are available for new builds

There are also some new configuration options available for new Anthem purchasers, designed to tweak the Anthem for different use cases. The stock Pirelli tires are perfection on pavement, but not great on softer surfaces like fire roads. Now you can opt for Dunlop Mutants, excellent dual-sport tires that will ride well in off-road environments without sacrificing too much street performance.

The Anthem excels on city streets; while it is highway capable, riding at high speeds will seriously eat into your range. Fortunately, you can now do something about that by switching to a 3.6:1 gearing ratio (for reference, the stock setup is 4.7:1). This will increase your efficiency and range when riding at highway speeds, but you will sacrifice some torque and acceleration on the low end. It's a great option to have but I'd only recommend it if you're really trying to maximize your highway miles. Of course, you could probably pair it with the upgraded power controller discussed above, and theoretically break even on acceleration while getting to keep the increased highway efficiency.
