A Bosch Performance Line Speed motor powers the Diamondback Union 1, a Class 3 drive e-bike that offers pedal assistance up to 28 mph. A Bosch PowerTube 400 battery is hidden in the downtube of the aluminum frame, which also has internal cable routing, discrete branding, and a matte finish.
The Union 1 is a solid performer. This is made possible in part by the 27.5-inch wheels and wide 2.4-inch tires, which offer stability and traction on a variety of surfaces. Additionally, the through-axles on the front and rear wheels make for stable, quick handling.
The rear derailleur and 10-speed Shimano Deore cassette handle the shifting. The set is completed by Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, fenders, a kickstand, and a supportive but sporty saddle.
