[The S3 by VanMoof](https://www.vanmoof.com/en-US/s3?color=dark) is a sleek e-bike designed for riders that are between 5ft 8in and 6ft 8in tall. The X3, designed for smaller riders (5ft to 6ft 5in tall), features a more compact frame and smaller, 24-inch wheels. 
The VanMoof S3 is an impressive electric hybrid bike that is equipped with several impressive features. It has a 504Wh battery, a 250W motor built into the front wheel hub, 4-speed electronic automatic shifting, and a unique display incorporated into the top tube.
The display on the VanMoof S3 is made up of 166 LED lights – 21 lights show the internal battery level, 20 lights show the battery level of the PowerBank, and then the rest of the lights show your current speed. 
These lights are also integrated into the unique security system. While locked, if the bike is moved the display will transform into a skull and let out a warning noise. This, together with the ability to track your bike via the VanMoof app on your phone, are surprisingly effective ways to deter theft and keep your bike secure.
