Dropbar electric bicycles like the Diamondback Current are comfortable on both main roads and side streets. Having some modest gravel and dirt road capability is made possible by the wide handlebars and 40mm Maxxis tires. 
The wide handlebars provide a comfortable ride, but at the cost of high maneuverability. Although you can easily take the Current off pavement, it is not guaranteed to be the most comfortable since off-road travel on the Current is usually bumpy and tiring.
A fast, exciting ride is made possible by a class-3, mid-mount Bosch Performance Line motor, which offers outstanding power and a top-aided speed of 28 mph. The majority of e-bikes designed for the road have tiny motors and batteries that are only useful for the occasional boost, but this one has the whole Bosch treatment. 
With a thru-axle spacing of 12x100mm, the fork is made of forged aluminum. At least it has mid-fork eyelets to install a fender and/or a front rack. A carbon fork would have been ideal at this price. The tires are not tubeless, but you can make them so.
This e-bike originated from a need to travel. The Current will transport you to any location where you can envision riding your bike.


If you’re looking for a bike for your daily commute that can also take you off-pavement, then do consider the Diamondback Current. 

Diamondback Current

Although the Diamondback is great for commuting, it can be difficult to use off-pavement. It’s a bit pricey and does not come with important features such as lights, fenders, or a rack.
