Brompton is a company that has quite the background story. They have been working on their foldable bikes since the 1970s, so they have had quite a few years to perfect their designs. If there is one bike that can show how far along they have come, it is the Brompton P Line!
A redesign of the famous Superlight bicycle, the 10-pound P line electric bike takes things to the next level. Let's look into this great e-bike to see what makes it the perfect commuter bike for anyone.
The Brompton P line has that classic Brompton design that everyone likes, but it comes at quite a high price. If you want a simple but foldable e-bike you can ride around, you should look into it more closely. If you are on a tighter budget and cannot afford to invest in the P-line, you can choose one of the company’s more affordable options.
Halfway between the hyperlight T-Line and the basic models, the P-Line misses the mark.
The P Line is an elite folder but I can’t justify its $3,000 price tag. I spent just over $1,600 for my Brompton a few years ago and I wouldn’t spend more than a thousand just to shave off 3-4 lbs.
Fun to ride, easy to take with you wherever you go and nicely put together with umpteen clever little design hacks. There are a few little practicality issues, but overall it’ll leave you wondering how you survived without it.
