The Ugandan government will provide electric motorcycles as a trade-in for any Ugandans currently riding ICE-powered motorcycles, with investors providing the capital for the program. The government will also grant licenses to investors to operate charging and battery swap stations to recoup their investment. In addition, the government will provide incentives to encourage rapid electrification of other electric vehicles.
