The Indonesian government will offer incentives for the purchase of electric motorcycles in the form of Rp7 million per unit. The Transportation Ministry has targeted 50,000 motorcycles to be converted into electric ones this year and the government is also aiming to open 1,000 certified workshops to support the implementation of motorbike conversion in Indonesia. Tax incentives will also be offered for electric four-wheelers.
