How do belt driven electric skateboard motors work?

A belt-driven electric Skateboard motor works by using a drive belt to transmit power from the motor to the wheels. The motor is typically mounted on the underside of the Skateboard deck, and the drive belt connects the motor pulley to the wheel pulley. When the motor is activated, it spins the motor pulley, which in turn rotates the drive belt. This rotation of the belt causes the wheel pulley to spin, propelling the Skateboard forward.

Belt-driven electric Skateboard motors offer several advantages. Firstly, they provide a smoother and quieter ride compared to other types of motors, such as direct-drive or hub motors. The use of a belt also allows for more flexibility in terms of gear ratios, allowing riders to customize their riding experience. Additionally, belt-driven motors are generally lighter and more compact, which can contribute to the overall maneuverability and portability of the Skateboard.
