How does a golf cart electric starter work?
A golf cart electric starter works by using an electric motor to turn over the engine and start the cart. When the ignition switch is turned on, it sends a signal to the starter solenoid, which then activates the electric motor. The electric motor spins a gear called the starter pinion, which engages with the flywheel on the engine. As the starter pinion spins, it turns the engine's crankshaft, causing the pistons to move up and down and the combustion process to begin. Once the engine is running, the ignition switch is released, and the electric starter disengages from the flywheel.
