How does the electric bike work?

An electric bike works by using a combination of a battery and motor to assist the rider's pedaling. The motor, which is typically located in the hub of the rear wheel or in the bottom bracket of the bike, provides additional power to the pedals when the rider applies pressure. This can either be done through a pedal-assist system, which senses the rider's effort and provides a proportional amount of power, or through a throttle system that allows the rider to control the speed directly. The battery, which is usually located on the frame or the rear rack of the bike, provides the energy to power the motor and is charged through an electrical outlet. The amount of power, speed, and range of an electric bike will depend on a variety of factors, including the motor power, battery capacity, and the weight of the rider and cargo.
