How to convert a bike to electric?

Converting a traditional bike to an electric bike involves adding an electric motor kit to the bike. There are several types of motor kits available, including hub motor kits and mid-drive kits.

Hub motor kits are easier to install and involve replacing the front or rear wheel with a motorized wheel. Mid-drive kits are more complex and involve replacing the bike's existing crank with a motorized crank.

Both types of kits require a battery to power the motor. The battery can be mounted on the bike's frame or placed in a bag attached to the bike.

It's recommended to have some basic mechanical knowledge and tools when converting a bike to electric. Alternatively, you can have a professional bike shop perform the conversion for you.
