What happened to segway?

Segway, the self-balancing personal transporter, was acquired by Chinese e-commerce company Ninebot in 2015. Since then, Ninebot has expanded the Segway product line to include electric scooters and other types of personal transportation devices. In 2020, Segway announced that it would be discontinuing production of its iconic PT model, which was its original invention, and its last remaining model in production. However, the company will continue to produce other personal transportation devices under the Segway brand.
