What is a class 2 ebike?

A Class 2 eBike is a type of electric bike that is equipped with a motor that can assist pedaling up to speeds of 20 mph (32 km/h). These bikes usually come with a throttle that allows for additional acceleration without pedaling. Class 2 ebikes typically have a power output of up to 750 watts and are subject to certain regulations, including helmet requirements and specific LOCAL laws. They are often popular for commuters who want to combine pedal power with an extra boost from an electric motor.
