What is a pedestrian bridge?

A pedestrian bridge is a bridge designed specifically for pedestrians to cross over a body of water, a road, or any other barrier. Unlike vehicular bridges, pedestrian bridges are not meant for cars or other motorized vehicles. They are typically narrower in width and are constructed to prioritize the safety and convenience of pedestrians. Pedestrian bridges can be found in urban areas, parks, and recreational areas where there is a need to ensure safe and convenient passage for pedestrians. They are often constructed using materials such as steel, concrete, or wood and may feature architectural designs to enhance their aesthetic appeal.
