What is an ebike and how does it work?
An electric bike, also known as an eBike, is a type of bicycle that comes equipped with a battery-powered motor. This motor provides the rider with additional power through the use of either pedal-assist or throttle-based acceleration. Pedal-assist works by sensing when the rider is pedaling and providing power in proportion to the effort put in by the rider. Throttle-based acceleration, on the other hand, allows the rider to control the speed of the bike using a hand-controlled throttle, similar to a Motorcycle. The specifics surrounding the way an eBike works can vary depending on the specific model and design of the bike, such as its motor power, pedal assist levels, and other technical specifications.
