What is electric bike and how it works?

An electric bike, also known as an e-bike, is a type of bicycle that is equipped with an electric motor and a battery that provides additional power to the rider. The motor is typically located either in the hub of the wheel or near the pedals, and it can provide either pedal-assist or throttle-based acceleration.

Pedal-assist bikes are the more common of the two types, and they have a sensor that detects when the rider is pedaling and activates the motor to provide assistance. The level of assistance can be adjusted manually, with most bikes offering levels ranging from low to high.

Throttle-based bikes, on the other hand, have a hand-operated throttle that activates the motor without requiring the rider to pedal. This allows the rider to simply sit back and enjoy the ride with minimal effort.

The battery is usually located on the frame of the bike, and it provides the power necessary to operate the motor. The range of the bike, or how far it can travel on a single charge, is determined by the capacity of the battery and the power of the motor.

Overall, e-bikes are a popular choice for those looking for an efficient and environmentally-friendly mode of transportation that can be used for commuting or leisure.
