When is a bicyclist not required to ride to the right of the roadway?

A bicyclist is not required to ride to the right of the roadway in several situations. These include when passing another vehicle traveling in the same direction, preparing to make a left turn, avoiding hazards, riding in a designated bicycle lane, or riding on a One-way street with at least two lanes. It is important for bicyclists to be aware of their LOCAL traffic laws and regulations to ensure their safety and the safety of others on the road.
