When is and electric bike a motorcycle?
An electric bike becomes a Motorcycle when it meets certain criteria that are defined by LOCAL laws and regulations. In most jurisdictions, an electric bike is considered a Motorcycle if it exceeds certain speed and power limits. For example, in some places, an electric bike with a motor that can reach speeds of over 20 mph and/or has a power output of over 750 watts is classified as a Motorcycle. It's important for riders to be aware of the specific regulations in their area to ensure they are riding a legal and correctly classified vehicle.
