When was the electric bike invented?
The electric bike, or eBike, was invented in the late 1800s. One of the earliest patents for an eBike was filed in the United States in 1895 by Ogden Bolton Jr. However, it wasn't until the 1990s that ebikes gained widespread popularity and became more commercially viable due to advancements in battery and motor technology.
