Why no transmission on electric motorcycle?
An electric Motorcycle typically does not have a transmission because an electric motor provides instant torque and acceleration without the need for shifting gears. Unlike internal combustion engines, which require multiple gears to provide a wide range of power, electric motors deliver their maximum torque and power output right from the start. This means that electric motorcycles can accelerate smoothly and quickly without the need for gears. Additionally, not having a transmission simplifies the design of the Motorcycle, reduces maintenance requirements, and can improve overall efficiency. However, there are some electric motorcycles that do have a multi-speed transmission, which can provide a wider range of power and improve efficiency at higher speeds.
