LaPierre
LaPierre brings over 75 years of passion and excellence to their business. Founded all the way back in 1946 by Gaston LaPierre, the company had small and humble beginnings. Based in Dijon, France, they created manually powered bicycles in a rapidly growing industry.
The post-World War 2 economic boom brought the brand quick success and its growth was continued under the watchful eye of Gaston's son, Jacky, in 1960. After building a new factory in 1972, LaPierre cycling has continued to innovate and has grown into an industry leader.
Eventually, the company was partially acquired by a Dutch cycling conglomerate. LaPierre has grown into a worldwide name in cycling after winning the 2000 French National Cycling championship. Since then, LaPierre has continued to push the boundaries of cycling design and in 2013, they released their first electric mountain bike, the Overvolt.
