Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

Electric cargo bikes for businesses in Oslo can receive a grant of up to 15% of the cost of the bike or a maximum of NOK 150,000 through the Climate and Energy Fund. The applicant must be a business that is based in Oslo and registered in the Norwegian Register of Business Enterprises. Only new electric cargo bikes that are fully assembled from a store are qualified to receive a grant. The grant must have a triggering effect, so purchases must not be initiated, and agreements cannot be entered into until you have received acceptance. Applications are assessed individually, and since the goal is to replace car use, this will be given weight.

Residents and registered applicants in Stavanger municipality who are businesses, non-profit organizations, kindergartens, nursing homes, and health services can apply for support up to 15,000 kroner for the purchase of electric cargo bikes. The support covers electric cargo bikes for transporting goods, passengers or equipment purchased from Norwegian suppliers or stores. The support cannot exceed 30% of the bike's price offer and each applicant can receive support for one or two electric cargo bikes. The municipality has allocated up to 300,000 kroner for this support scheme. Electric cargo bikes can also be rented for 20 kroner a day from four district houses and Frilager in Friheim.
