Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

The city of Linz provides subsidies for the purchase of cargo bicycles, electric cargo bicycles, electric bicycle trailers, and bicycle trailers by private individuals, companies, and organizations with a registered office or main residence in Linz. The funding amount is 30% of the investment costs, and there are different maximum funding amounts for each type of vehicle. However, only cargo bicycles used for carpooling, or if existing motor vehicles are replaced by cargo bicycles for companies and organizations, may qualify for other funding. Conventional electric bicycles that are not used as cargo bicycles are not funded. There are various application forms and funding guidelines available on their website.
