Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

The market town of Lustenau, Austria subsidizes the purchase of children's bicycle trailers, cargo bicycle trailers, and bicycle trolleys. The subsidy applies to cargo bicycles and special bicycles such as tricycles or therapy bicycles (with and without electric motor) purchased from a regional dealer. The promotion of VVV annual passes has expired with the end of 2020. The municipality sponsors 25% of the purchase price for a child bicycle trailer, a cargo bicycle trailer or a bicycle trolley with a trailer coupling per household. It also subsidizes cargo bicycles with €400 and electric cargo bicycles with €600, along with special bicycles (tricycles and therapy bicycles) with €400 and €600 (with electric drive), respectively. The subsidy applies to individuals, associations and companies.
