Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

In Salzburg, residents are eligible to apply for subsidies on bike trailers, cargo bikes, bicycles for people with disabilities, and bike conversions. The subsidy provides relief mainly for families since most trailers and bikes are purchased for transporting children. The subsidy amount ranges from 30% of the purchase price up to a maximum of €250 for bicycle trailers to 30% up to a maximum of €1,000 for electrically assisted cargo bicycles and bicycles for people with disabilities. The subsidy will be available in 2023, and applications can be submitted online from January 1, 2023.
