Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

The city of Traiskirchen is offering a direct subsidy for the purchase of new (e-)cargo and folding bikes to increase ecological mobility and reduce CO2 emissions and particulate matter. The subsidy is available to all individuals and legal entities with a residence or registered office in Traiskirchen who have purchased a new cargo or folding bike within the last six months. The subsidy is 50% of the purchase price, up to a maximum of 500 euros for cargo bikes and 350 euros for folding bikes. The bike must be suitable for public transport, approved by the manufacturer, and not a used or self-built vehicle or retrofit kit. The subsidy can be applied for retroactively within six months of the bike purchase and the applicant must provide the original invoice and payment proof. The applicant must use the bike for their own mobility purposes for at least two years after purchase.
