Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

The City of Aix-les-Bains and Grand Lac offer assistance to individuals in the form of vouchers to purchase an electric-assisted bicycle (V.A.E.) or to rent an electric bike at incentive prices. The amount of the vouchers is €200 for the City of Aix-les-Bains and €150 for Grand Lac, for a total of €350. The vouchers are valid for two months and appointments are required. The assistance is reserved for residents of Aix-les-Bains and only one participation per bicycle, per person and per household is allowed. Proof of residency and a completed, signed form are required to obtain vouchers. Additionally, the Hôtel de Ville and Chaudanne car parks provide eight free parking spaces for electric two-wheelers, which allow for the free charging of these vehicles.
