Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

Residents of the department of Bouches-du-Rhône could receive assistance of 25% of the purchase price of an electrically assisted bicycle, up to €400. The program had a goal to finance the purchase of 3,000 electrically assisted bicycles for five years. Since 2019, 19,845 electric bicycles have been financed, exceeding the initial budget of €6 million. The program ended on January 31, 2022, and no new assistance requests are accepted on the dematerialized platform. Eligible bicycles are those meeting current European standards, excluding "speed bikes." To apply, one has to submit the required documentation, including the application form, proof of purchase, technical specifications of the bicycle, and signed commitment document.
