Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

The Golfe du Morbihan - Vannes agglomeration provides a subsidy scheme for the purchase of electrically assisted bicycles (VAE) for residents, but has decided to end the scheme effective from January 1, 2023. Applications for the subsidy will only be accepted if the bike purchase invoice is dated before January 1, 2023, and the request is submitted before March 31, 2023. The grant is 25% of the purchase price of the bike up to €300 if the household quotient is less than €1,200, and is available to all residents of the 34 municipalities of the agglomeration who meet the eligibility criteria.

Golfe du Morbihan - Vannes agglomeration offers a subsidy for the purchase of cargo bikes for individuals and professionals residing in the territory, up to 25% of the purchase price since September 2020. The subsidy for individuals changed as of December 16, 2022, which is now based on income conditions with a subsidy up to 800 euros. The cargo bikes mentioned are extended bikes that can transport loads or people and are classified as an alternative to the car.
