Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

Residents of the territory of La Roche-sur-Yon Agglomeration in France can avail a rebate when they purchase an electric assist bike (VAE) from participating merchants. Residents, who are homeowners of legal age, can avail a grant up to 15% of the purchase price of the E-bike, up to €150. The employer certificate holders, employees of a company that complies with the PDIE, can receive up to 25% of the purchase price, up to €250. The state grant will only be awarded to tax-exempt households, and the amount of 20% of the TTC purchase price of the bike, up to €200 is provided which complements the aid granted by local authorities. Other programs include subsidies for special bicycles (cargo bikes or tricycles), electrically assisted or not. The subsidy is set at 20% of the TTC purchase price, up to €400 for a new bike and €200 for a used bike.

La Roche-sur-Yon Agglomération provides assistance for the purchase of Electric Assistance Bikes (EABs) from their selected partner bike shops. The aid for Agglo Yonnais is set at 15% of the TTC purchase price of the EAB, up to €150, and 25% of the TCC purchase price of the EAB, up to €250 for employees from a company that is a member of the PDIE. The government offers a bonus of 20% of the TTC purchase price, up to €200, which can only be granted if aid of the same nature has been granted by a local authority. Other possible aids are also available for the acquisition of special and adapted bicycles.

Residents of the La Roche-sur-Yon Agglomeration area can benefit from an aid of up to 15% of the VAT-inclusive price of a VAE (electric assist bike) for up to €150. Salaried residents who belong to a company that is a member of the PDIE can benefit up to 25% of the VAT-inclusive price of the bike, up to €250. The state also offers a bonus under certain conditions of 20% of the VAT-inclusive purchase price, up to €200, which can supplement local authority aid.

La Roche-sur-Yon Agglomération offers buyers of electric-assist bicycles (EAB) a subsidy equal to 15% of the total purchase price of the bike, up to a maximum of €150. However, employees of businesses belonging to the PDIE can receive extra subsidies of 25% of the total cost of the EAB, up to €250. Only households residing within the La Roche-sur-Yon Agglomeration territory are eligible, and supporting documentation must be provided to apply. In addition, the state allows aid of up to 20%, not exceeding €200, to non-taxable households, provided they meet eligibility requirements similar to La Roche-sur-Yon's.
