Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

Residents of the metropolitan territory of Nice Côte d'Azur can receive a subsidy for the purchase of a new electric two-wheeler or electrification kit valid from January 1st to June 30th, 2023. The amount of the subsidy is capped at €400, €300, €200 or €100, depending on the Fiscal Reference Income. The subsidy is intended for individuals only and can only be received once every 5 years from the date of purchase. The subsidy scheme is not available for legal or natural persons in individual business. Electric scooters, electric tricycles, and gyro-pods are not eligible.

The Metropolis of Nice provides a grant for the purchase of a human-powered bicycle which ended on December 31, 2022, but beneficiaries must submit their application before March 31, 2023, for human-powered bicycles purchased in 2022. The Metropolis also offers other support measures for sustainable mobility, such as grants for the purchase of an electric two-wheeler or an electrification kit for a mechanical bike, the acquisition of a 100% electric car, conversion premium for an electric or hybrid vehicle, installation of charging stations in co-ownership and purchase of an adapted bicycle.
