Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

Orléans Metropolis has stopped supporting the purchase of electric bicycles; however, the French government will still offer incentives for purchasing electric-assisted bikes in 2023. Orléans Metropolis will now concentrate on promoting the sale of used bikes and offer second-hand bikes for all residents. The Metropolitan Council has approved a partnership with “1-Terre-Actions” to repair and sell 550 bikes on the metropolitan territory with a subsidy of 32,000 euros. Orléans Metropolis plans to double the budget to reach 200,000 euros in 2023 for increasing usage, safety, and bike education.
