Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

The city of Lausanne offers grants for purchasing electric bikes, bike batteries, and electric scooters purchased at approved Lausanne stores. The grant amounts are 15% of the purchase price with a maximum of CHF 400 for electric bikes and CHF 1000 for electric scooters. The grants can be doubled for those under 25 or those with a subsidy for health insurance. Used batteries and scooters are not eligible for the grant. Businesses can receive grant coverage for up to five bikes or batteries. The approval for a Lausanne store requires professional advice on electric bikes, the possibility to test electric bikes, and an after-sales service workshop. To receive the grant, the recipient must request it through the equiwatt website and include a copy of the purchase invoice and necessary documents.
