Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

The city of Meyrin offers a limited subsidy of CHF 500 for the purchase of an electric-assisted bike, a cargo bike, a regular bike that can be converted into an electric-assisted one, an electric motorcycle or an electric scooter. The subsidy is available to residents of the commune, businesses, and associations in Meyrin. The purchase must be made in the canton of Geneva, and the price should be at least CHF 2,000. The Canton of Geneva also offers subsidies and rebates for soft mobility and electric mobility, such as the installation of an electric vehicle charging station, purchase of an electric or non-electric cargo bike, and participation in bicycle courses provided by recognized associations. However, the Commune does not manage subsidy requests related to electromobility or acquisition of an electric or non-electric cargo bike subsidized by the Canton.
