Tax Liability Credit
In March 2021, the Connecticut General Assembly passed legislation to provide rebates and subsidies for the purchase of electric bikes. The bill provides up to $500 for the purchase of an electric bike and up to $250 for the purchase of an electric bike accessory. The bill also provides for the establishment of a statewide electric bike infrastructure fund, which will provide grants to local governments for the installation of electric bike charging stations and other infrastructure improvements.
