Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

Nantes Métropole is offering a support system for the purchase of cargo or specific bikes for families to develop modes of transport that respect the environment. The aid is granted for the purchase of a cargo or family bike, including cargo bikes with or without electric assistance and family bikes. The amount of the subsidy is fixed at 25% of the cost TTC of the bike, within the limit of €300 per vehicle and per person. To benefit from the subsidy, the person must be domiciled in one of the municipalities of Nantes Métropole and purchase the bike new or used from a professional reseller registered in the commercial register. The beneficiary is required to not resell the bike for three years. The application form for the Nantes Métropole grant should be filled and sent to the given address with a copy of the invoice, proof of domicile, and RIB to the beneficiary's name. The Nantes Métropole offers a support system for the purchase of bicycles for companies operating in 24 municipalities that include classic, electric and cargo bikes with or without electric assistance. The subsidy is intended for delivery persons, couriers, repairers, craftsmen, and care professionals whose professional activity is located on the territory of the metropolis. The amount offered corresponds to 25% of the cost of the bike including VAT, up to a limit of €400 per vehicle and up to a limit of 10 assisted vehicles. The purchase of the vehicle must have been made after July 8, 2014. Residents of the 24 municipalities of Nantes Métropole can benefit from a subsidy for the purchase of cargo or family bikes until February 28, 2023. This subsidy amounts to 25% of the cost (including taxes) of the bike, up to a maximum of €300 per vehicle and per person. The beneficiary must not sell the bike before 3 years and the subsidy will be paid out to the beneficiary's account provided that the purchase invoice of the bike and the RIB are in his name. The subsidy can only be paid once per beneficiary, for the purchase of a single cargo or family bike. The beneficiary can also qualify under certain conditions for the French government's electric assist bike bonus of up to €200. The supported bicycles are cargo bikes with or without an electric assist and family bikes, longtrail, and carrier bikes that are not for professional use. A request can be submitted by providing the completed form (downloadable or to be collected on site), a copy of the purchasing invoice, and proof of residence.
