Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

The city of Günzburg provides up to 500 euros in subsidies for the purchase of cargo bikes. A purchase premium for cargo bikes is intended to encourage people to switch to cycling in their everyday lives. The City of Günzburg will cover 20 percent of the net acquisition cost, but no more than 500 euros for electric cargo bikes and no more than 250 euros for muscle-powered cargo bikes. The subsidized cargo bike may not be permanently passed on or sold to others in the three years following the purchase. The guideline stipulates an eight-week period from the date of receipt of the decision to make the purchase.
