Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

The city of Lahr is offering a one-time subsidy for the purchase of new cargo bikes or electric cargo bikes with a maximum motor assistance speed of 25 km/h. The subsidy is only available to individuals who reside in Lahr and is limited to one bike per household. The subsidy amount is €300 for a cargo bike and €500 for an electric cargo bike. Applicants must submit a completed and signed application form to the city planning office before purchasing the bike and agree to use the bike for at least 12 months and not sell or transfer it permanently to a third party. The subsidy program is voluntary and subject to the availability of funds each year.
