Electric Bike Rebates and Tax Credits

Stuttgart is promoting the acquisition of e-cargo bikes in order to make it more appealing to families and to enable them to switch to environmentally friendly, quiet and space-saving vehicles. Families with at least one child can receive a grant of €600, which is aimed at supporting them in purchasing or leasing an e-cargo bike. Additionally, Stuttgart families will receive €500 as a sustainability bonus. To be eligible, no vehicle should have been registered in the subsidized household over a period of three years, or an existing vehicle should have been deregistered for at least three years without being replaced. Finally, there is a grant program with a social component targeted at families with a family card or bonus card+Culture who require special financial support.
