New York City, New York Electric Bike Rebate and Tax Credit

Rebate Summary

Selected delivery workers can trade their e-bike or moped for a discounted UL-certified e-bike. Participants will be eligible to purchase a Tern Quick Haul e-bike with two Bosch batteries for $2,200 (plus tax), which represents a 40% discount from the retail price of $3,775 (plus tax). A low-cost, 12-month loan with no minimum credit score requirement is also available from Spring Bank. Delivery workers who choose this option can purchase their e-bike and make low monthly payments.

Ride Clean Rebate, Senate Bill S3080A
The New York State Senate Bill S3080A directs the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to establish a Ride Clean Rebate Program to permit class one, class two, and class three bicycles with an electric assist, as defined in section 102-c of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, and electric scooters, as defined in section 114-e of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, to be eligible for a fifty percent rebate, with a maximum rebate amount of one thousand one hundred dollars ($1,100).
