Cube’s Supreme Sport Hybrid ONE 400 is a newer model within their product range and offers the ability of swapping the 400 battery for a 500 with ease. The bike is geared towards high-powered daily use, traveling around the city as a commuter. However, the bike may offer more gusto than many casual riders need. We’ll take a closer look in our: Cube - The Supreme Sport Hybrid ONE 400 Bike Review to see how it holds against step-thru models.
The Cube Supreme Sport Hybrid ONE 400 is an easy-to-maneuver and approachable stand-thru e-bike with all the bells & whistles. Comfortable design and reliable 9-speed cassette make this model optimal for commuting around cities, or for more relaxed neighborhood riding.
At the cost of slightly reduced range and increased noise, you get a higher torque and more pedal cadence support that is noticeable.
The Bosch Performance Line Cruise motor is generally quiet though, and offers more support compared to the Active Line. Given some other basic feature drawbacks, like the PowerTube 400 (lowest battery capacity from Bosch) and extremely basic suspension form – this model works best for a non-professional, more recreational rider or commuter.
“Easy entry, A-K-A, low-step frames like this Cube Supreme make getting on and off a breeze. If you’re a frequent stopper, carry lots of cargo, or have any sort of hip, back, or knee issues, this is an excellent choice. Bonus comfort points for the adjustable stem that lets you fine tune the fit on the fly.”
“An approachable step-thru electric bike that is available in four frame sizes and one colorway. Includes custom plastic fenders, sturdy chain cover, rear rack with bungee cord, and bright integrated lights that run off the main battery. E-bike rated tires are designed to handle more weight, higher speeds, and include reflective strips for enhanced visibility.”
